Crèche
At the 9.30 Parish Eucharist, we run a crèche for small children in the Turner Vestry at the back of church. Why not come
along and see what happens? Contact: Edna Grimble (222353) or Molly Hoyle (226929).
Trekkers
Children aged 4-10 are welcome at Trekkers (formerly the Sunday School), which meets in St Mary's School hall,
opposite the church, on Sundays from 9.30 to 10.30 am. The work is varied and geared to different ages and abilities.
Twice a year we hold a service in the church, and there are Summer and Christmas activities. Contact: Ann Plumstead (232083).
Footprints
We invite all parents and carers with pre-school children to join us on Wednesday afternoons during term-time from 1.15pm until 2.45pm in the Parish Hall. Join us for an hour-and-a-half of energy-burning free play along with craft, songs and lots of fun. Every other Wednesday a Bible story will accompany the craft. We ask for a nominal £2.50 per session. Contact: Kirsty Sowden (220889).

St Mary's School
St Mary's School is a Church of England Primary School with around 350 boys and girls aged 5 to 11. The majority of
School Governors are appointed by the church. We aim to set high standards, and demand for places is always high.
Children are admitted into reception the start of the school year after they turn 4, and older pupils can be admitted at other appropriate

The 'A' Team
The 'A' Team are young people aged 11 to 18 who meet on an occasions to pool ideas, plan and practise for various events.
The group have a variety of gifts in music, drama, reading, art, etc., which they are keen to use to spread Christ's message of
love and hope by participating in First Sunday worship and visiting residential homes. Members also enjoy the fellowship of

SToMPers
Young people from 11 to 14 can also join SToMPers, the Youth Group affiliated to St Mary's. We meet at St Mary's School
every third Friday in the month from 7:00 to 9:00pm and occasionally in between for sporting activities. Other activities include

Scouts
The 1st Shenfield Scout Group meets in the Scout Hut in the Chelmsford Road. Beavers (6-8s) meet on Wednesday afternoons.
Cubs (8-10s) meet on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Scouts (10-15s) meet on Monday evenings. Venture Scouts (15-20s)

Guides
The Shenfield District Guides have a two Brownie Packs, a Guide Company and the Sherwood Rangers. Rainbows (5-7) meet at
the Scout Hut on Mondays (5.15-6.30pm). Brownies (7-10s) meet at the Parish Hall on Wednesdays (5:00-6:30pm)
and Thursdays (5:15-6:30pm). Guides (10-14s) meet there on Mondays (7:00-8:30pm). Rangers meet by arrangement.
