Choir
Our Choir sings at the main services and, by arrangement, at Weddings and Funerals. If you have a good voice, why not join us? Choir practices are held in the church on Wednesdays at 8 pm. Please email info@stmaryschurch-shenfield.org.uk for more information.
Bells
We have six fine bells in the church tower. Our ringers meet on Thursdays at 8 pm. If you would like to ring, or to learn to ring, contact: Ray Jones (211773).
Shenfield Mothers' Union
Anyone who has been baptised can join the Mothers' Union. Our purpose is to strengthen and support marriage and
Christian family life. The MU meets in the Parish Hall on the 4th Thursday of the month at 2pm and the Morning and Evening
MU meet as announced in the Parish Magazine and The Link. The meetings in the morning are at times particularly suitable for mums with small children. Visitors are welcome at all meetings. Contact: Audrey Butler (224430) for more details.
St Mary's Open Branch
The Open Branch was formed in 1967, and membership is open to women. We meet in the Parish Hall on 2nd Thursdays
at 8 pm to hear speakers on all sorts of topics. We have theatre trips and coach outings to places of local and national
interest. We have over 125 members, and visitors are always welcome. Contact: Mary Roder (226628)
Shenfield Garden Society
The Garden Society meets in the Parish Hall on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 8pm. Our aim is to encourage, improve and
extend the cultivation of flowers, fruit and vegetables. We hold three shows - in April, June and September - each
year. We have coffee mornings and a Christmas supper, and we also arrange outings at various times during the year. Contact: Doris Gower (210642)

The Parish Hall
A wide range of organisations use the Parish Hall in Hutton Road, and we value the contribution that the Hall (an independent charity) makes to local community life in Shenfield, Hutton and surrounding area. Contact: Dick Agate (212617)
