David Thomas joined St Mary's in 2009, having previously been Rector at St Mary the Virgin, Wivenhoe, a small town in North East Essex. He originally studied at Durham University, and then read Theology at Westcott House Theological College, Cambridge. He now lives with his wife, Alison, and their pets - dog 'Red' and 'Lucky' the cat, in Shenfield. David and Alison also have two Children - Cofi (20) and Chanice (19).

David's an avid Arsenal fan, and follows the team to matches both home and away, he's also played cricket socially, and true to his family roots, follows Welsh rugby. David's also a pool player, and used to play in the Essex league. He's interested in railways, both great and small, and likes walking and reading - primarily history and philosophy.

Eileen has been at St Mary's since she was ordained as curate in 1998 . She previously attended church at All Saints, Doddinghurst. A qualified teacher, Eileen has an MA in Pastoral Theology from Anglia Ruskin University, as well as a BA (Hons) from the Open University. Eileen is now Associate Minister at St Mary's, she is also access course co-ordinator at St Mellitus College.

Eileen lives in Wyatt’s Green, with her husband Terry, and their cat. She has three grown-up children, and two 2 grandchildren. Eileen enjoys singing with the Hutton and Shenfield Choral Society.
